Living in My Galaxy explores the idea of identity existing within its own emotional atmosphere. The figure appears suspended between inner space and outer presence, holding delicate balloons that suggest fleeting thoughts, memories, or shifting states of self.
Painted in a simplified harlequin-inspired style, the work focuses on character and gesture rather than environmental narrative. The absence of a traditional background allows the surface itself—built through layered spray and brushwork—to become the atmosphere surrounding the figure. Splashes and cosmic textures create a sense of movement and expansion, reinforcing the idea of a personal universe in constant formation.
This piece was created live during the StrangeCreek festival using a fast-drying archival process that combines spray paint and oil techniques, preserving both immediacy and longevity.
