About
My artwork emerges from a dreamlike inner world where emotional experience takes physical form. As a pop-surreal artist, I create figures that reflect life as it is felt rather than as it appears—moments of longing, transformation, tension, and release translated into vivid color, movement, and symbolic form.
I exaggerate and contort the body to express emotional states, exploring how feelings live within our physical selves. When we experience something deeply—whether passion, melancholy, desire, or renewal—the body responds. My figures stretch, curve, and interlock to embody these emotional landscapes, existing in a suspended moment between reality and imagination.
A recurring presence in my work is the Harlequin—an esoteric, shapeshifting archetype representing transformation, duality, and playful rebellion. These characters move between worlds, exploring elastic perspectives of identity and perception.
Over time, my work has expanded beyond painting into sculptural cut-out works, body painting, costume design, and immersive installation. I transform painted imagery into living presence by collaborating with models and creating upcycled garments from reclaimed dresses and textiles, allowing the characters to step beyond the canvas and into shared space.
Born into a creative family and raised among actors, dancers, musicians, and visual artists, I developed an early understanding of art as lived experience. After earning my BFA from SUNY New Paltz, I began exhibiting throughout the United States while continuing to work across both gallery and festival environments.
The completeness of being human continues to inspire my work. I am drawn to moments of emotional clarity—fleeting yet powerful expressions that connect us through a shared visual language.
