Feel the Beat

Ink and pencil on paper

12” × 16”

Feel the Beat captures a moment of quiet immersion in sound. The figure appears suspended in her own rhythm, headphones enclosing her in a private world where thought dissolves into sensation. Through loose lines, layered color, and expressive marks, the piece reflects the way music can become a refuge—an intimate space where emotion, movement, and identity flow freely.

What Fairies Do When They Are Bored

Oil paint on wood • Burned and later reworked digitally

What Fairies Do When They Are Bored captures a playful yet introspective moment of quiet mischief and imagination. The figure drifts in a dreamlike state, absorbed in small curiosities and private thoughts, where boredom becomes a doorway into strange and whimsical inner worlds. After the original painting was lost in a house fire that destroyed much of the artist’s life’s work, the piece was revisited and reworked digitally—transforming loss into a new form of presence and memory.

Twist to Break and Change

Ink and oil paint on canvas

 Diptych • 4’ × 10’

Twist to Break and Change captures a figure suspended in a moment of powerful transformation. Stretching across two panels, the body twists between opposing forces—cool blues and erupting fields of fire—suggesting the tension between destruction and renewal. Through dynamic movement, layered marks, and explosive color, the piece reflects the idea that growth often requires rupture, and that change is born in the moment we dare to break free from what once held us together.
